Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Stay Gazette collects, why, who processes it and the choices you have. Last updated 5 September 2026.

Who we are

Stay Gazette is published by Trousdale Digital Technologies LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company, which is the controller of any personal data described here. For anything to do with your data, email dan@cavmir.com.

What we collect and why

The newsletter. If you subscribe to the daily briefing, we store the email address you enter, the page you subscribed from, the time, and the IP address and browser signature of the request (to stop abuse of the form). Purpose: to send you the briefing and to understand where sign-ups come from. Legal basis: your consent, given by ticking the box on the form. You can withdraw it at any time with the unsubscribe link in every email or by writing to us.

Server logs. The site is served through Cloudflare, which records the IP address, user agent and requested address of each request for security and reliability. Purpose: to keep the site up and defend it against abuse. Legal basis: legitimate interest. These logs are kept by Cloudflare for up to seven days.

Email you send us. If you write to the desk with a tip, a correction or a request, we keep the correspondence for as long as it is needed to deal with it.

Nothing else. Stay Gazette does not run advertising networks, behavioural tracking, session recording, social-media pixels or an analytics tag. We do not ask for your name, address, phone number or any payment details. The paper takes no bookings and processes no payments.

Cookies

The site sets no tracking cookies. Cloudflare may set a strictly necessary cookie for security purposes. If we ever add a privacy-friendly count of page visits, it will load only after you accept it in a banner, you will be able to decline, and this policy will be updated first.

Who processes data for us

  • Cloudflare, Inc. (United States and European Union): hosting, content delivery, security and the database that holds the subscriber list. Cloudflare's privacy policy.
  • Resend, Inc. (United States): sending the newsletter and the notification when someone subscribes. Resend's privacy policy.

Each acts as a processor on our instructions. We do not sell or share personal information with anyone else, and we never rent or trade the list.

International transfers

Data may be processed in the United States. Where the law of your country requires safeguards for such transfers, we rely on the standard contractual clauses and certifications offered by the processors above.

How long we keep it

Newsletter data is retained until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, after which it is removed within 30 days. Cloudflare request logs are retained for up to seven days. Correspondence is kept for as long as needed to handle it and no more than two years.

Your rights

European Union and United Kingdom (GDPR, UK GDPR). You may ask for access to, correction of, or erasure of your data; ask us to restrict or stop processing it; receive it in a portable form; object to processing based on legitimate interest; withdraw consent at any time; and complain to your supervisory authority.

California (CCPA/CPRA). You may ask what personal information we hold, ask us to delete or correct it, and opt out of its sale or sharing. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined in California law, and we will not treat you differently for exercising your rights.

Brazil (LGPD). You may ask for confirmation, access, correction, anonymisation, deletion, portability and information about sharing, and revoke consent. The contact for the data-protection officer is the email above.

To exercise any right, email dan@cavmir.com. We respond within 30 days (GDPR), 45 days (CCPA) or 15 days (LGPD), and sooner where we can.

Children

Stay Gazette is a business publication for adults and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS only, with security headers, and the subscriber list is held in an access-controlled database. No system is perfectly secure and we make no absolute promise, but we take reasonable measures and would tell affected subscribers promptly if something went wrong.

Changes

We will post any change to this policy here with a new date at the top.
